I’ve just been told I’m now a Specialist Fellow of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
Two major lectures coming up later this year.
Last week – lectured at Bucks New University (3rd years events management) then two days of the BA Hons class. Then off to Belfast to deliver a keynote at the ICVES conference.
The last page of the last proof, checked, edited and about to send.
What a wonderful feeling……
Chapter 7 done, only chapter 8 to go.
This book is the course materials for the Introduction to Crowd Science courses and eLearning system, plus the core materials for the Applied and MSC (Crowd Risk Analysis and Crowd Safety).
Next week I’ll begin to load the eLearning and support materials for the above. Watch this space for further developments.
3/4 the way through chapter 7 proof reading – chapter 8 is a summary/conclusions – so should have this complete and sent back to the publishers today.
Then onto loading the course materials for the MSc materials and book 2 (Crowd Risk Analysis and Safety Engineering).
Phew – chapter 5 is now complete (proof editing) and I’m onto chapter 6.
Few more days and this goes back to the publishers….
1st March 2014
Damm – I let “CrowdModelling.com” lapse and someone is now selling that for $1,500…..sigh.
Missed a trick there.
The domain for Crowd Science is taken and crowd science is not hitting the google search engine optimisation top ten list……struggling to describe all the work I do in that vital 30 second elevator pitch…..
I analyse crowd risks, risks to crowds at events and places of public assembly. Introduction to Crowd Science has a chapter called “Crowd Risk Analysis”. The MSc course is called “Crowd Risk Analysis”. Next book title is “Crowd Risk Analysis”, article in ICSS on Crowd Risk Analysis – but what could I identify as a unifying brand/theme…..hmmm….
I wasn’t coming up with any ideas…….
Crowd science seemed to be too high brow, not really descriptive….how about crowd safety (too vague)? Safer Crowds (too bland), how about ….
….. Crowd Risk Analysis ….
http://www.CrowdRiskAnalysis.com was free.
So was the company name Crowd Risk Analysis Ltd.
A-ha (in my best Alan Partridge voice) – have now changed Crowd Modelling Ltd to Crowd Risk Analysis Ltd.
Didn’t have to make too many changes to the website……
….. so if anyone asks what does Keith do.
It’s “Crowd Risk Analysis”
